Winemaking: Grapes grown on the border between Dordogne and Gironde in the Purple Périgord. Vines flourish on a limestone cliff in a hilly landscape at an altitude of 80 meters above the Dordogne valley, protected by a forest. Biodynamic practice and certified organic. Hand picked. Short maceration. Fermented in steel tanks with native yeast (6-7 months). No filtration nor fining prior to bottling.

From the Importer Steven Graf: Both hailing from the Bordeaux region and Corrèze, Aude Duval and Sylvain Ohayon’s paths crossed on Argentinian viticultural lands at the foot of the Andes Cordillera where they both had traveled to enrich their knowledge of wine.

Located in Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt, Dordogne in South-West France, between the Loire Valley and Pyrenees mountains, 80 kilometers east of the town of Bourdeaux, the vineyard counts 8 hectares in one piece area on a clay-limestone soil: 1.70 ha of Sémillon + 6.20 ha of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines averaging 35 years of age. The planting density is 5000 vines per hectare.

The winery has been practicing biodynamic and organic farming since 2012. Before settling on the vineyard, Sylvain was a winemaker in the Médoc and Aude worked in a wine store close to Saint Emilion.
