From the Producer: The ‘Cassiopēe’ cuvée is a cherry red in the glass, with beautiful intensity. Flavors of blackberry, cherry, a slight kirsch characters. Aromas of spices deepen the taste—clove, pepper and cumin bring character and balance. Serve very lightly chilled with terrines, cold meats and cheeses.

As in any story, there are unexpected encounters that shake up your codes and change the direction of your journey. After a year in medical school, it was finally my summer "job" at the Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois that introduced me to the profession of winegrower and gave me the desire to train in this field. It all started in 1998 with a BTS Viticulture/Oenology at the CFPPA in Beaune and an apprenticeship at Domaine Denis Père et Fils in Pernand-Vergelesses. With my diploma in hand, I had the opportunity for four years to deepen my knowledge at the Domaine de Montbourgeau in Étoile. Very quickly, I had the desire to have my own farm.

I took this first step in 2003 by renting 1 hectare of vines that I would buy later and by joining the Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois as a cooperator. For several years, I reconciled salaried work and used the time to gather more parcels of vine. In 2012, I finally was able to call 7 hectares of vines my own. Then, gradually, the desire to vinify my harvest and to present my own products became more and more insistent. So I made the decision in 2017 to leave the FVA to embark on a new professional and family adventure, that of Domaine Les 5 Wy…
