Tending vines up to 100 years in age, Ugo makes sure that “the vines are cultivated with passion and the wines are made with love.” Ugo has added to his holdings over the past six years, taking over more vines in Saint-Chinian among the scrubland, as well as in Assignan, totaling his holdings to 10 hectares in all. His works with grape varieties that are all native to the area: Grenache, Carignan, Aramon, Syrah, and Terret. While Ugo’s farming practices have been organic since the very beginning, and he received official certification in 2019. He works his vineyards alongside his horse, picks all grapes by hand, and keeps a light hand in the cellar.
