Gulf of Maine Conservas, Atlantic Mackerel

Conserva means preserved in Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian and is the common word used in those countries to describe tinned seafood. Drawing inspiration from this Mediterranean tradition, we preserve our fish in high quality olive oil. All of our tinned seafood products are produced from wild caught fish and lobster in the Gulf of Maine. Canned by hand in an FDA-approved facility, this ensures quality and health standards are met. Our fishing vessel, the F/V Figment, is based out of Rye Harbor, New Hampshire.

TINNED MACKEREL
Our mackerel is caught via rod and reel. This distinctively flavorful fish is loaded health benefits thanks to high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, an excellent source of selenium, niacin, and B vitamins. Mackerel is most commonly used for baitfish in the United States, however consumer demand in foreign markets is high. We aim to introduce an accessible way to enjoy this delicious fish, native and plentiful in the Gulf Of Maine.
