From the Importer Avant Garde: Handed down generation to generation since the 1850s, the Moyer family vineyards are now represented by Damien Moyer. Damien's grandfather Edmond was one of the founding winemakers of the AOC Montlouis in 1938.

From us: The Moyer family restored a 17th-century former hunting lodge built by the Duke of Choiseul, deep in the forested hills above Amboise. They resurrected the neglected home between 1877 and 1903, during which they built a new barn with a cattle shed and stable—which has now been further renovated to include a tasting room/wine shop. From father to son, the Moyers have continued the tradition of producing wines of the highest quality from Montlouis, with a deep knowledge and understanding of the local terroir.
