Winemaker: Etienne Simonis
Grapes: Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc
Étienne farms approximately 7 hectares, most of which are in Ammerschwihr, in the Vosges foothills. They’re smack dab in the center of the Alsace wine region. The Simonis family has been making wine in this area since the 17th century and Étienne took the helm in 1996 at the age of 20. The wines just arrived yesterday and we couldn’t resist cracking open the Crémant d’Alsace for an afternoon apéritif. What a delight to have the wines of Étienne Simonis on the shelf now.
