From the Producer: The favorite insect of Cidrerie du Vulcain, the ‘Vulcain’, or ‘red admiral butterfly’ is represented on the label (artwork by Gisèle Rime). She is a faithful friend during autumn pickings, tending to the fruit burst on the ground. Her population grows this time of the year, helped by other migrating butterfly from northern Europe.

From Importer Camille Rivière Selection: Jacques Perritaz bought a farm in Normandy, in the Domfrontais in summer 2022. So long Switzerland! Domfrontais is the land of perry with a rich history of cider. It’s the first time in 17 years producing ciders, coferments & perry that he now owns his orchard, his facility & his home (used to be the other way around in Switzerland: 100% rental, as no one lets go of real estate there). All the farming is organic, he also has sheep, cows & chickens - a true farmer’s dream for him.
