Who We AreWe're Orenda and Peter Hale. After nearly 2 decades of working service in restaurants, we opened Maine & Loire on Washington Avenue in 2015, believing Portland was ready for its first natural wine shop. It's a true family business — if you visit, it's just the two of us (and maybe one of our three kids running around). We take great pride in championing producers working on a human scale, making wines that are alive and soulful. We’re glad you’re here!
