From us at M&L: Frédéric Cossard is an icon of natural wine making in Burgundy. His estate cuvées attract the kind of attention normally reserved for the household names like Dujac or Leflaive. However, his wines speak to a much larger audience - fans of ultra natural and classic styles, both - and his negociant bottlings are terrific introductions to his work. “Les Michelons” is a tiny vineyard of 100 year old Gamay on a steep, granite slope. Beautiful, with a food-friendly structure, this is classic Cru Beaujolais from a tru master.
